- Equator: The line that is right between the north and south pole that is between the lines of latitude and the line of latitude and longitude both equal to zero degrees at the equator
- Prime Meridian: The vertical line in the middle of the lines of longitude that go south and east
- Absolute Location: The exact point where a line of latitude and a line of longitude intersect
- Hydrosphere: All the waters on Earth's surface
- Lithosphere: the rigid outer part of the earth, consisting of the crust and upper mantle
- Atmosphere: the envelope of gases surrounding the earth or another planet
- Biosphere: the regions of the surface, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of the earth
- Continental Shelf: Seabed around a large land mass that is relatively shallow
- Erosion: A gradual destruction of something from wind, water, or other natural resources
- Fault: A fracture in a volume of a rock
