Latitude: The lines of latitude are invisible lines that stretch all the way around the Earth. Latitude lines are parallel and they are measured by degrees north or south of the equator.
Longitude: The lines of longitude circle around the Earth from the north pole to the south pole. The lines are measured by the distance east or west of the Prime Meridian. The Global Grid: All of the places on Earth have a global address, also known as a absolute location. Showing where the longitude and latitude meet up exactly identifies the exact place.
